Shaka clinched a silver medal when learners from across the UK ran in the 800 metres at the English Schools’ Athletic Association indoor championships.
These were held on 8 December 2010 at Pickett’s Lock in the London Borough of Enfield. “It was a close race,” he says, “only 0.1 seconds between me and the winner.”
After completing his course, Shaka aims to follow some of his fast friends onto a Foundation Degree in Sports Science.
After graduation, he is in the running to become a personal trainer or a coach.
