Duration
18 weeks, two evenings a week – Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6pm to 8.30pm
Where is the course held?
Rush Green Campus
What qualifications do I need?
Ideally you we would look for a Level 1 IT qualification, but you may have loads of experience gained through your work or at home and that’s fine too.
What will I learn?
This is an informal evening class for adults who would like to improve their computer knowledge and skills.
Perhaps you are looking to return to work after a break or even change your career?
This course is designed for anyone who has some knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint but is by no means an expert. If you are a complete beginner our Entry Level IT course at Barking Learning Centre would be ideal, or the Level 1 IT course at Rush Green.
In this Level 2 couse you will be able to improve your knowledge and skills on the latest Microsoft Office 2010 applications – Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Your tutor will support you and guide you through tasks to make sure you really understand each unit covered.
How will I be taught?
Each student is allocated their own PC and you will be taught by an experienced tutor who will guide you through each piece of work. There will be some individual tuition for those who need it. The key with any piece of software is to practice, practice, practice so the best way to learn is to do it yourself.
How will I be assessed?
At the end of each unit there is a test – there are 4 units in the course. But don’t worry, your tutor will help with mock-tests so you can really practice.
What could I do next?
Your new IT skills should open doors for you, but please talk to us if you would like to continue your studies.
