    Sandra Coats, 57, from Romford has been awarded the British Empire Medal in the Queen's New Year Honours List in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Barking & Dagenham College where she works as a Catering Assistant. "Absolutely delighted, I am over the moon," said Sandra, "It is a great honour and I am very grateful to Barking & Dagenham College for nominating me. It is fantastic to know that my efforts have been recognised."
