College develops apprenticeship provision in Egypt

Barking and Dagenham College is delighted to report that it will be working with a Printing & Media firm, Petra, in developing apprenticeship provision in Egypt.

The project, which is being funded and supported by the British Council, will see the two parties create and deliver a new curriculum aimed at supporting printing workers develop new skills and gain a qualification whilst they work.

Michael Smith, Learning Innovation Manager at BDC, said: “this collaboration is an exciting opportunity for the college and for Petra, to develop a new study route that allows workers to learn on the job in apprenticeship-style delivery”.

The project will initially run until March 2018.
