1 May 2018

Barking & Dagenham College’s Learner Involvement Coordinator Karen Boxall was named Leader of the Year at the Jack Petchey Awards last Thursday.

Karen won the award for her exceptional work within the College; she is responsible for providing a wide range of interesting and exciting extra-curricular opportunities for students and is also responsible for ensuring that students have a voice about the way the College is run and what happens at the College.

She works tirelessly to enhance the learners’ college experience, arranging special events, inspirational speakers, sporting activities and conferences.

Her colleague and mentee Rheanna Stiles, Enrichment Apprentice commented:

Karen has truly gone above and beyond her role to make all these things happen and I cannot think of anyone who deserves this award more.
