Higher & Degree Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are not only for young adults, they are also for professionals who have been doing the job for some time and who would like to improve their CV with additional qualifications.
You may not have considered the apprenticeship route to a higher level qualification, but it could offer you the flexibility you need to study alongside your job. With an apprenticeship you usually study one day a week or one day every 2 weeks, depending on the subject you choose.

The research also shows that employers think that qualified Higher Apprentices are 25% more employable than those that took another route into work.

Lauren Kennett, HR & Training Assistant at Dragados Sisk JV (DSJV is a joint venture formed to deliver part of London’s Crossrail project) completed a Higher Apprenticeship in 2015:
“The Higher Apprenticeship was extremely rigorous, and the experience has really transformed my view of what apprenticeships can offer," said Lauren, "With a Level 5 qualification on my CV, I am inspired to keep studying and I am thinking about starting an MA in HR Management.
"Apprenticeships are a win-win for both employer and employee. I’ve always loved my job, but by investing the development of its people, DSJV benefits from increased levels of motivation and commitment, which can only be good for business.”
