Secure your place for September 2017

Choosing to come to college is an exciting decision.

It’s about making a fresh start, joining a fun learning atmosphere where the opportunities are limitless. You may want to train for a job and get in to work as quickly as possible, or you may be thinking about going on to university.

Come along to one of our Open Events to find out more about your September options. Follow this link to our events sections, which is also featured on the home page.

Into work, or onto university

Remember, A Levels are not the only route to university. Ask about Level 3 courses, such as the BTEC Subsidiary and Extended Diplomas, which can also take you on to university.

Just come on in to talk to our Course Information team about your options - you don't need an appointment - or they are available by phone or email.

Your goals

Barking & Dagenham College doesn’t limit you to the classroom, but instead gives you the chance to learn skills that will help you onto the career ladder or start your own business.

What makes us different?

The Pod (which stands for Pitch On Demand) is a FREE creative zone for student entrepreneurs and local small businesses to help get ideas off the ground and through professional guidance help develop your business skills.

English & Maths

Remember, you are not alone if you do not get 5 GCSEs at A* - C, including English & Maths.  Around 4 out of 10 teenagers face the same situation and often a fresh start at Barking & Dagenham College helps.

You can retake your English and Maths GCSEs with us, alongside your new college course.

More than a qualification

9 out of 10 students at award-winning Barking & Dagenham College progress to higher education, apprenticeships or employment.

That’s because there is a wealth of support available to everyone who studies with us. We have 1st class facilities, excellent links with industries and businesses and ensure all our students get ‘real’ work experience to impress future employers.

Martin, Martin Griffiths, Community Relations Manager at Costain Skanska JV, who took part in our recent Interview Workshop for students, said:

“Giving mock job interviews at half term provided insight – both ways – into the road ahead for determined and aspiring young adults.”
