Supporting you through the application process

Clearing

We still have places available for courses starting in September 2017.

Applying through UCAS

If you wish to study a HNC, HND, Foundation Degree or BA (Hons) you will need to apply through Clearing, via UCAS.

Our course listings contain the relevant UCAS course codes. You can also use our quick UCAS Course Code look up list which you can view via this link.

You will find more information about the UCAS application process on the UCAS website.

What is Clearing?

Clearing is how universities and colleges fill any places they still have on their courses.

It's an ideal way to find another course if you've missed out on your grades, if you haven't secured your first or second (Firm or Insurance) choice of course, or if you simply want to change the course you wish to study.

Clearing is available each year from July to mid-September and is not just for A-Level students, but BTEC, Access and Mature students too.

Applying direct

If you wish to study one of our professional development courses, or our postgraduate MBA you can apply directly to the College using our standard application form rather than applying through UCAS. To apply, please click on the links above which will take you to the relevant course pages.

Why study with us?

Affordability: You can gain the same qualification as you would at university but at almost half the cost. We charge £5,000 per year for full-time undergraduate programmes, whereas at university you can expect to pay above £9,000 per year. Find out more about our Higher Education fees here.

Stay local: Save living and travelling costs by staying at your local college.

Excellent Quality: Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) - the UK’s watchdog for Higher Education fully endorsed our HE programmes and issued an excellent report commending the high quality.

HE Staff: Highly qualified and passionate staff.

Smaller Group Sizes: A more personalised learning experience achieved through smaller groups boosting the quality of delivery.

Student Finance Package

There is a range of financial support to help you meet the cost of tuition and the cost of living.

Undergraduate ‘home’ students don’t have to pay for your tuition up front. Instead, you can choose to take out a loan to cover the costs. You will not have to start paying back the loan until you have finished your Higher Education programme and are earning over £21,000 per year.

You can find information about the financial support to help you meet the cost of tuition fees, and maintenance grants to help support you as you study, via this link.

Our Higher Education Admissions Policy

You can download a PDF of this document via this link.

From our admissions guidelines to accreditation for prior learning, please do take the time to familiarise yourself with this useful information.

It all counts: make sure your existing qualifications and experience is taken into account

If you don't have the formal accreditation and qualifications required for your course, but you do have relevant past experience, we would encourage you to apply.

Where a course is offered in partnership with an awarding body, which may be a university, they set down the admissions criteria in regards to prior learning and experience.

Acceptance on to a course must comply with the regulations set down by that partner, and you can find more information below:

The University of East London - where you will be able to download a PDF of their latest guidance. Click on the link and the document will automatically download in the bottom left hand corner of your screen.
