On Tuesday 21 Feb, photography learners at the College hosted two stunning photography exhibitions in one night.
The first titled ‘Eat More Eels’ was by Mark Pedder, who is a learner on our BTEC Extended Diploma in Photography course. The collection displayed in the Chef’s Hat, the College bistro, was based upon iconic British food. Mark Pedder is pictured below with one of his favorite photographs from his first solo exhibition set.

The photos were viewed alongside suitably Cockney themed food and drink, including a selection of delicious chicken, beef and vegetable miniature pies created and served by food study learners.
This second exhibition titled ‘POP!’ was by students on our further education and higher education photography courses and involved contemporary large screen projections.
David Bennett, Curriculum Team Leader – Photography, said: “It was an exciting challenge to arrange a contemporary pop-up show and to work with large scale projection systems and sound. It shows just what can be done with a vision and some talented photographers.”
