Ken Livingstone, alongside his deputy running mate Val Shawcross were quizzed by around 80 learners at Rush Green Campus on Monday 16 January.
Ken visited the College as part of the 32 ‘Tell Ken’ visits to every London borough over the last year, Barking & Dagenham being Kens 30th visit. Ken answered a number of questions on EMA, Education, The Olympics, his time as Mayor, inflation and the riots.
One Travel & Tourism learner, Traishe Joseph said after the Q&A: “It was great to meet Ken and actually get the opportunity to ask him questions. It was very interesting, he was very open and honest, it really felt like someone was actually listening to us.”
On his visit, Ken said: “I had a great time at the College and was impressed with the range of questions I was asked. It is very important to me to find out what matters most to young people, what issues they have and what they want and need. It was a very worthwhile visit.”
