Christmas came early on campus when staff, learners and people from the local community flocked to the College’s first ever Christmas Market.
The market was the first of its kind to be held at the College on Tuesday 13 December.
Staff and learners sold number of goodies including cakes, decorations, beauty products, flower arrangements, gifts, festive food and much more.
Santa also made an appearance finding out what over 80 children wanted to find in their stockings on Christmas Day. It even snowed when our Music learners sang some traditional carols. (With the help of a snow machine!)
However, the highlight of the event was a visit from a family of real reindeer. Twinkle (The dad), Angel (The mum) and Holly (The baby who was only 5 months old) were a big hit.
The aim of the event was not only to spread festive cheer amongst the community but to also encourage an entrepreneurial flair amongst the learners.
Many visitors said what a good idea the event was, one even saying it was “as good as a real German Christmas Market!”
