Stefania Rossi, Director of an award winning skincare clinic gave beauty students a business masterclass last Thursday.
As well as running ‘Utopia Beauty and Advanced Skincare’ in the centre of Hornchurch, she’s also the founder of a recruitment business and is a beauty awards judge and international speaker.
Her clinic has won numerous accolades including The London Hair & Beauty Awards 2018: ‘Winner of the Most Wanted Salon in East London’.
Stefania visited Barking & Dagenham College in order to help students to be able to identify the key skills, qualities and attributes of an effective beauty therapist; for example, they learnt about the importance of communication skills, planning and organisational skills, leadership and team working.
Ernesta Lipkeviciute aged 23 from Barking took part in the session saying:
“A masterclass with a salon owner provided the opportunity to learn key employability skills to ensure my success in the future. I was really inspired by Stefania and feel motivated by the opportunities in the beauty industry.”
The session was one of a series of ‘Future-Ready’ Masterclasses that the College is organising to help prepare its learners for the world of work. Stefania said:
“I fully support the College’s project and its aims – it’s a very relevant topic and much needed for our prospective employees.”
