Locals attend barking dagenham college s open day 5

College's open day 'jam-packed'

Around 650 local people attending Barking & Dagenham College?s January Open Event last Thursday; this included young people looking at what to do after leaving school and adults were looking to retrain for a new career.

A wide range of activities was on offer in including beauty taster sessions in the College’s own Salon. People could also take part in free finance sessions, to learn about topics such as income tax and profit and loss accounts. The construction workshops were open, allowing potential students to see classes in action.

Head of Marketing Jay Sheikh said: “The event was hugely successful. It was jam-packed. We are looking forward to seeing all the new students who signed up for courses very soon.”
