St Peter and St Paul’s Church grounds have been given an overhaul thanks to a group of Protective Service students.
The Uniformed Protective Service students volunteered to help the church with its conservation project to clear the site. The project was set up to once again provide the local community with safe access to the church grounds and wildlife areas.
Over a two-week period, the students really got stuck in. They managed to clear two years’ worth of vegetation from the churchyard and nature reserve.
It was also a great opportunity to put into practice a lot of the skills they've been working on including teamwork, leadership and management, and they did a great job!
The students have done fabulous work for their local community. All the students did a tremendous job.
The Uniformed Protective Services Team is very proud of the students for the work they’ve achieved. Their commitment and attitude to get the job done was a pleasure to see. We hope now that the local community will be able to enjoy the churchyard and the wildlife areas once more.
