AutoRaise joins with S&B Automotive Academy to deliver new Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Apprenticeships in Bristol

3 December 2013

AutoRaise, the multi-skilled vehicle collision repair apprenticeship programme launched by Barking & Dagenham College, is extending its geographical reach thanks to an agreement with S&B Automotive Academy in Bristol.

Since its launch in September this year, the AutoRaise apprenticeship has been adopted by bodyshops in locations as far afield as Essex, Hertfordshire and Berkshire. The joint partnership with automotive training specialists, S&B Automotive Academy, will now make the programme accessible to collision repair centres in Bristol and the South West.

"We're delighted to be working with S&B Automotive Academy in the delivery of AutoRaise. As automotive training specialists they are very well placed to bring all the benefits of the AutoRaise to a wider customer base,"

said Michelle Keady, AutoRaise Project Manager.

Richard Pope, Business Development Manager, S&B Automotive Academy commented:

"We're really excited about the AutoRaise apprenticeship programme. It's something different for us to offer to bodyshops and it meets a very real market need. We've received a huge amount of interest already."

Targeted at bodyshop technicians, the AutoRaise programme is a multi-skill apprenticeship at Level 2 and 3 designed specifically for the automotive collision repair industry. It incorporates Paint, Panel and MET over a two year period and at the end of the programme the apprentice will take Senior ATA in Paint, Panel and MET.

AutoRaise provides a unique opportunity for Employers to offer staff a multi-skilled qualification accredited by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).

Training takes place on a weekly block release at S&B Automotive Academy in Bristol with nine weekly blocks per year spread evenly throughout the two year duration. The first intake commences on 10th February 2014.

AutoRaise courses at the Enfield training venue (SC Body & Paint Skills) are delivered on a day release basis and commence on 17th January 2014.

AutoRaise is recruiting now for apprentices at both venues, and is hosting an Employer Briefing event on 10th January at Enfield. For further information, tel: 020 3667 0333 or text keyword AutoRaise and your full name to 88020.
