Christopher Adams, is currently working hard to achieve his Level 2 NVQ in Hairdressing at the Technical Skills Academy in aim to start his award-winning one of a kind mobile hairdressing business in July. The business minded entrepreneur came 2nd in the E=MC2 Programme (Enterprise | Money | Creativity | Squared) run by The Small Business Consultancy Foundation (TSBC). Chris was the only teen to reach the final after a panel of 10 high-profile and experienced business leaders and entrepreneur judges scored over 50 business plans to put only 4 through to the final.
Chris, who has worked on planning his new business titled Baseline over the last year, says: "I am really enjoying my course at the Technical Skills Academy, without it I wouldn't be able to live my dream and start my new venture." He continues; "I am particularly looking forward to cutting and styling the hair of real-clients in the Academy's commercial Salon after Christmas." Chris, who was prized with the opportunity to work for Gillette, believes that reaching the final of the E=MC2 Programme is a great achievement, he says: "I have come a really long way and this just goes to prove that all my hard work has paid off in the end."
