Our health and social care qualification will teach you how to support the elderly, children, and those with disabilities and learning difficulties. This is the progression course from the CACHE Certificate, which you must have completed at Barking & Dagenham College.
This course is the natural progression from the CACHE Certificate in Health & Social Care at Level 3, and will prepare you either to enter the workplace or move on to university.
You will study a range of important units which build your knowledge, confidence and opportunities for that future valuable career.

You will be required to attend placement in a real work environment to support your learning. The minimum required number of placement hours in 175 hours (100 hours if you've already successfully completed the Certificate).
This course is graded: A* - D
You will produce a portfolio of work that is assessed by a range of methods, which may include projects, assignments, case studies and coursework.
The portfolio of evidence will include two extended assessments (one covering the 'core mandatory' units and one covering the 'diploma mandatory' units).
You will need to have GCSE Maths, English Language and two additional subjects at grade 4 (C) or above.

You must have successfully completed the CACHE Certificate in Health and Social Care Level 3. Attendance, punctuality, and handing your assignments in on time important.
Entry to this course is dependent on the outcome of a Disclosing and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Upon achievement of this qualification learners will be able to access Higher Education and progress into a wide range of job roles within the health and social care sector.
