This course includes a number of talks with current Public Services workers, as well as outward bounds trips and a week-long residential stay in Wales!
You'll learn practical skills that'll be useful in working environments. These include teamwork, problem-solving and effective communication.
You'll also develop specialist skills such as map reading, orienteering, and use of technology.
There are a range of assessments for this course:
- Practical
- Observations
- Group work
- Presentations
- Written assignments
You'll need 5 GCSEs at grade 2 and above to join the course.

Successfully completing this course means you can progress to Level 3, Year 1.
