Build on the skills learnt at level 1 of the Diploma to improve your knowledge, your qualifications and your employability!
During Level 2 you'll learn:
- Higher-level paper-hanging (wallpapering) skills
- About different types of wallpaper and how to hang them
- How to paint walls using a powerful HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray unit
- How to master graining and marbling techniques
You'll be assessed at points during the course. There's also a practical and theory assessment at the end of the year.
You will need to have GCSE Maths, English Language and two additional subjects at grade 3 (D) or above.
As part of the application process you will also be asked to explain why you want to study this course, so that we can ensure any course offer made aligns to your career goals.
For entry onto this course, you'll need to have passed Level 1 of the Diploma, or equivalent.
Having successfully completed Level 2, you can move on to Level 3. Getting work experience can lead to a full NVQ qualification.
Alternatively you can get work in the trade, or start your own painting & decorating business.
