Completing the extended (second) year of this course will develop your skills and give you a great foundation for degree-level study, apprenticeships, or employment!
On the course you'll get to develop your skills in:
- Pattern cutting
- Designing moodboards
- Fashion illustration
You'll be assessed on your assignments throughout the course.
You'll also have to do practical tasks along the way.
You'll need to have completed the subsidiary year of the course - or equivalent - to apply.
Janice Amonoo studied at renowned institutions including The London College of Fashion. Since then she's worked with numerous fashion stylists and labels, and she ran her own fashion line and Brick Lane outlet. Her work has been featured in magazines such as Flux, Elle, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire.
Kim Stevenson graduated from UEL with first class honours and now teaches on their fashion foundation programme. She runs her own award-winning sustainable fashion label, and has been featured in a number of magazines and newspapers.
Krasimira Stoyneva runs her own internally recognised fashion label, having graduated from UEL with first class honours. She's won awards and her designs have been worn by numerous stars and even on the X Factor! Krasimira is known for her ethical movements against fur.
There are opportunities for work experience and for entering competitions.

You might choose to go on to study fashion or a related specialism at university.
You could look for an apprenticeship or internship within the industry to develop your skills further.
Or alternatively you could choose to head directly into employment.
