If you're a 16-25 year old who isn't currently in employment or education and are looking for new opportunities and experiences, the Prince's Trust Teams Programme could be perfect for you!

Prince’s Trust programmes help young people develop the personal skills, qualities and attitudes that employers look for within a range of working sectors.

Week 1: Introduction

Learn new skills, set personal targets and goals and choose a two week work placement.

Week 2: Residential

Enjoy a week away from home living independently whilst taking part in fun activities such as rock climbing, canoeing and mountain biking.

Weeks 3-6: Community Project

Choose a project, fundraise and then complete a project that can have an impact in our local communities.

Weeks 7-8: Work Placement

Get work experience in a placement of your choosing, learn new skills and meet new contacts. Gain a valuable reference for future employment.

Week 9: Next Steps

Make a decision on your future. Complete applications for jobs or education, take part in mock interviews and make yourself more employable.

Weeks 10-11: Team Challenge

You and your Team will be challenged to help the community. Whether it is playing bingo at an elderly home or going to a nursery to do arts and crafts, you'll be giving back into the community.

Week 12: Presentation

Invite your family and friends along to show them all that you've achieved over the last 12 weeks.

No specific qualifications are required to do this course. You'll just need a reference.

You'll have access to work experience within lots of different sectors, and the Trust will help you organise this.

Opportunities exist within sporting organisations, retail, childcare, animal welfare, care for the elderly and health clubs, for example.

Where it can lead to

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
