This varied course helps develop a sound base for becoming a confident all-round performer.

As well as going on trips and external workshops, you'll have the opportunity to perform on the main stage at Barking's Broadway Theatre!

You will study a range of units to further develop your performance skills further. Such as:

  • Contemporary Theatre
  • Applying Acting Styles
  • Rehearsing for Performance
  • Theatre For Children
  • Auditions for Actors

Assessments are done in a variety of ways which include: Practical rehearsals and Performances, written documents and presentations

Successful completion of a BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting)

You will have the opportunity to work with industry professionals both on site and at other venues.

There will a series of workshops & Performance at The National Theatre Connections as part of your work experience.

On successful completion students can Progress onto University or Drama School.

Where it can lead to

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
