Students will be introduced to a range of units which offer the opportunity to develop skills with different areas of the Music industry. These include:

  • Music Project
  • Sequencing
  • Composing
  • Music & sound for the moving Image.
  • The sound & Music Industry

Assessments are done in a variety of ways which include: Practical rehearsals and Performances, written documents and presentations.

4 GCSE’ A*- C or 4 or above

MUST Include English

If you do not have a Music GCSE A keen interest in Music or performance and any extra curricula activities will support application.

You will also be asked to attend a taster session

There is an opportunity to perform to a live audience. Attend workshops and talk s by professionals.

Visits to external Festival

On Successful completion Students progress onto the Extended Diploma in Music.

Where it can lead to

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
