This apprenticeship's for those who work in maintaining the safety and effective operation of engineering equipment and plants.
Relevant roles include Electrical Technicians, Mechanical Technicians, Control & Instrumentation Technicians, Wind Turbine Technicians, Electrical System & Process Control Technicians, Electromechanical Technicians and Plant Operations Technicians.
Assessments will take place in the final 6 months of the programme. They comprise a knowledge assessment, a final observation of practical work, and a technical interview based upon an evidence portfolio.
You'll need GCSEs in Maths, English and a Science at grade 4(C) or above, and/or relevant industry experience.
You'll be expected to be able to display core knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Applicants without Level 2 qualifications in Maths & English will be expected to study Functional Skills at this level alongside their programme.
On completion apprentices will be able to apply for registration as an Engineering Technician via a suitable Professional Engineering Institution.
