Apprenticeships

This apprenticeship has been developed to meet the needs of the Buildings & Civil Engineering, Highways & Maintenance Repair, Residential Development, Conservation, Demolition and Tunnelling sectors.

The programme will enable you to progress onto Level 5 and above, allow entry onto degree programmes, provide a career pathway through experience, and improve your supervisory, management and leadership skills.

Mandatory units include:

  • Health, Safety & Welfare
  • Design Principles & Application
  • Project Management • Management Principles and Application • Construction and Maintenance of Buildings • Science & Materials • Computer-Aided Design

Assessment will take place in the workplace, through observation, and via the completion of a portfolio. There are also written assignments and exams at college.

You'll ideally have completed a Level 3 qualification in Occupational Work Supervision.

Applications would also be welcomed if you have experience in the sectors identified.

Complete this programme and build a career in building, civil engineering or other specialisms.

You may alternatively wish to move on to a higher-level apprenticeship or degree-level study.
