Adult 19+

As an advanced apprentice on this programme you'll complete and oversee work to install, service, maintain and commission domestic plumbing and heating systems, components and appliances.

Relevant systems and appliances include hot water, cold water, central heating and sanitation - and energy might be oil-fired, solid fuel or from renewable sources.

Ideally you'll have GCSEs in English & Maths at grade 4 (C) or above to join the programme.

There will also be an initial interview and assessment before your apprenticeship begins.

There will be initial assessments in English & Maths for those who don't have the required qualifications. If you don't achieve a Level 2 standard you'll need to study Functional Skills in these subjects alongside your apprenticeship.

After your apprenticeship you can progress to full-time employment as a Gas Engineer or similar within commercial plumbing and heating.
