If you're at the start of your career, or keen to take your first steps into the childcare sector, this apprenticeship could suit you.
On the programme you'll spend a day each week in college, learning and developing the skills needed for progression in childcare. You'll be given the opportunity to use these skills in your workplace to support and develop young children through interactions during play.
Apprentices will meet with assessors in the workplace on a monthly basis to plan and carry out work-based assessments.
Childcare workers might be based in early learning centres, pre-schools, nurseries or crèches, youth/community settings, or social care settings.
There are no formal entry requirements for this programme.
You'll just need to show a good basic level of English, Maths and ICT at an initial assessment.
When you complete your programme you might want to seek full-time employment with your experience and qualification. This could be with your apprenticeship employer.
Alternatively, you might decide to pursue an advanced apprenticeship to continue your learning and boost your qualifications.
