This programme's suitable whether you’ve been in work for a while or you're starting out with a new employer as an apprentice.
You'll develop skills and knowledge in:
- Dispensing & supply of medicines & medicinal products
- Communication, pharmacy law & ethics
- Person-centred care
- Health & safety in the workplace
The programme offers a great chance to gain a recognised qualification and to work towards a career as a Pharmacy Assistant, under supervision by a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician.
You'll be able to find future employment within high-street pharmacies or as part of a ward team in a hospital.
You'll need English & Maths at Level 1 to join this programme.
If you haven't got English & Maths at Level 2, you'll need to study this alongside your apprenticeship and achieve the standard before taking your end-point assessment.
Following the completion of your apprenticeship you can look for employment as a Pharmacy Assistant.
