Designed for anyone wanting to progress to a senior role within adult social care, possibly as a manager or specialist practitioner.
Adult social care is about providing personal and practical support to help people live their lives. It helps support individuals with maintaining their independence and dignity, and ensuring they have choice and control.
This higher apprenticeship will provide you with transferable skills to enable you to innovate and provide high-quality care. You could be managing day-to-day provision in a residential service or practicing a specialism in areas such as dementia or assistive technology.
This programme has two pathways: General Adult Social Care and Specialist Adult Social Care.
To be eligible to join this programme, you'll need to be employed in relevant social care practice.
Employers will also require achievement at a Level 3 apprenticeship.
And you'll need GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above (or Level 2 qualifications) in English & Maths.
You can use the HE credits you gain on this apprenticeship to top up for a degree qualification at university.
Alternatively, you may choose to seek employment - either with your apprenticeship employer or a new organisation.
