A streamlined introduction to the film and television industry.

This course is the second year of the Level 3 programme, following on from the BTEC Subsidiary in Creative Production. You will develop your understanding of the industry (including work placement opportunities!) and vital practical skills, readying students for work opportunities!

The course will cover factual programming, 2D animation, advertising production, critical approaches, working to a brief, and creative media production management.

This is a hands-on course, so your projects will be assessed over the year. There are no formal exams.

You will need to have a Merit or above on the subsidiary course, or equivalent qualification.

Our experienced teaching staff have industry experience from a range of creative media sectors.

Renowned broadcasters and companies within the film and TV industry offer work experience opportunities for students with the right skills and enthusiasm!

On successful completion of this course you can progress to employment in the media industry, higher education or a higher Apprenticeship in a related area.

Where it can lead to

There are number of routes you can take following successful completion of a course. Further study can include Higher Education courses or a Higher Apprenticeship where you will expand your skills through study whilst earning a wage. Or you may choose to move directly into employment.
