The Level 2 Certificate in Creating a Business Start-up is a knowledge-based short course, which enables learners to develop their understanding and knowledge of the initial processes and requirements of a business start-up, including the marketing, legal and financial requirements and an understanding of how to write a business plan.
The Level 2 Certificate in Creating a Business Start-up is achieved by completing 4 components, which help gain an understanding of the steps of creating & developing a business start-up alongside developing and increasing an awareness of own entrepreneurial and business skills.
- Unit 01: Initial steps for a business start-up
- Unit 02: Marketing for a business start-up
- Unit 03: Legal and financial considerations for a business start-up
- Unit 04: Developing a business plan
Learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all 4 components and submit a portfolio of evidence which is internally assessed. There is no external exam.
This short course is designed for learners 19+ who are working or looking to gain an understanding of business start-ups. Learners would need a good level of English and Maths and will be assessed internally pre-enrollment.
On successful completion, learners could progress to a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in areas where business skills are of importance such as Accounting & Finance, Business, Administration, Law and Enterprise.
