Football Academy

Our college's Football Academy is run in partnership with 'the Daggers' - Dagenham & Redbridge FC!

Whilst training at our Academy, you'll study for a nationally recognised qualification, as well as having fantastic opportunities to develop as a footballer.

You'll either study towards a Level 2 (1 year) or a Level 3 (2 years) in Sport or another subject. The Level 3 qualification is equivalent to 3 A Levels, so you'll finish your studies ready to head to university if you want.

Your time with our Football Academy will include:

Training with Dagenham & Redbridge FC professional coaches (UEFA B & A Licence)
Exposure to opportunities to trial and play with the Daggers' youth team
Playing in the National Youth Alliance League
Training three times a week and playing at one of our Academy teams on Wednesdays
Youth team under-18s trials and first-team development games
A chance to participate in our annual residential Seville FC (Spain) tour
The chance to apply for an American Football scholarship
The opportunity to gain coaching badges
Access to physiotherapists and nutritionists
Courses to suit your academic level and career pathways

We're recruiting now for our 2024/25 season.

How to apply

Complete an application to study for a course starting in September 2024. You can apply online or at one of our upcoming open events. This course could be in Sport or another subject area.

Once you have submitted an application to study a course with us, you’ll receive an email confirmation – in that email will be details of how to register for our next football academy trial.

Trials

You'll need to register to attend our next trial date. Once you've registered, we will be in touch with all the details about the trial, what you can expect from the day, what to bring, and the next steps to joining our Football Academy.

Our Football Academy is very popular. We hold regular trials throughout the year, but we encourage you to secure your place on a course and at our trials as soon as possible.
