Careers FAQS

FAQS - Careers

If you have your original certificate, we can do a NARIC comparison to see what this equates to in English qualifications. This may help you with your Maths and in some countries English (if English is taught as a first language). The Careers Team can advise you.

We can give you a 1-2-1 careers interview at the college, so if you would like to book an appointment please call: 0203 667 0047 or email: careers@bdc.ac.uk to book a convenient time for you.

We have a range of Access courses running for one year, which many universities recognise as Level 3 courses (please check with the university first that they will accept an Access course). You cannot get a job with an Access course, but it proves to universities that you can study at Level 3. You can take out a Advanced Learner Loan and if you go to university and successfully complete your degree, the Advanced Learner Loan will not have to be paid back.

If you do not have GCSEs in English and/or Maths or you need to improve them, you can study these at our college. You will be required to do an assessment to check your level and depending on your capability, you can either study Functional Skills in English and/or Maths or GCSE English and/or Maths. We have day and evening courses available.

We can give you a 1:1 careers interview at the college, so if you would like to book an appointment, please call: 0203 667 0047 or email: careers@bdc.ac.uk to book a convenient time for you.

If you have a question that is not covered in this section, please send an email to careers@bdc.ac.uk or call 0203 667 0047.
