Jusdeep performs at the Royal Opera House

Jusdeep Virdi, a student on our ‘Skills for Independence and Life’ course has performed at the Royal Opera House. She gained a place on the Culture Device Dance Project, which had a 13 week residency at the Royal Opera House. The Culture Device Dance Project is an innovative dance company for professional dancers with Down Syndrome.

The dance residency at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden involved creating a two-part ballet with live score.

Jusdeep had the chance to perform with award winning artists with Down Syndrome and alongside dancers of the Royal Ballet.

Jusdeep’s teacher, Teresa Byrne said: “This has been a fantastic experience for Jusdeep and has really helped her to grow in confidence, we are very proud of her and delighted that she got this fabulous opportunity.”
